Booking

Please read the booking and cancellation information below carefully.

Booking: There is no obligation to advance book. But to keep things fair for all involved, it is not possible to reserve places prior to payment. You can advance book classes by paying for them. Class costs and other information can be found on the ‘Timetable’ page of this website. Please check availability with me before sending booking payments. Classes often fill up quickly, so once you have checked with me that a space is available, you should pay straight away to be sure of securing your place. For payments which have not been made directly in person to me, I will send you an email confirming receipt of your booking payment when I receive it. For bank transfer payments, if I have not received your payment within 24hrs of telling you to go ahead and book, I will assume you have changed your mind and the space is available to others.

Your name will be entered on the class list of those booked in only when I have actually received your payment.

There are two exceptions to this. The first is for ‘last minute’ places. If it suits you better not to book ahead, there are frequently short notice places available in all classes. You can contact me in the 24hrs before a class to reserve a short notice place then pay for it on arrival. The second exception is for the Friday morning class in Portree: the York Drive hall is large, so it is not a problem to ‘drop in’ unannounced, providing you have your own mat. For all classes, if you’re paying on the day, please be considerate of others in the group by arriving more than five minutes before the start of class, so you have time to pay before we begin.

You can book by paying in cash, by cheque, or by bank transfer. Please email me if you’d like me to send you a copy of the full information (e.g. my bank details and postal address). If you transfer, post or drop off your payment, please make sure you’ve specified exactly which class/date(s) it is for. I also recommend you keep your own record of which classes you’ve paid for, e.g. in a calendar – you’d be amazed how many people forget what they’ve booked!

Cancellations: If I have to cancel a class, I will notify everyone booked into it and offer them the choice of a refund or carrying the money over to a future class.  If you are not able to come to a class you have booked, you can give/sell your space to someone else. If you are going to do this, please let me know in advance of the class – particularly if your friend has not done yoga with me before. If you find you are not able to attend a class you’ve paid for at short notice, it is not necessary to let me know you will be missing it, because I always start classes on time – so you don’t need to worry that I’ll be holding back the start of the class waiting for you to turn up. However, if you have the opportunity to let me know you can’t make it, I do appreciate it.

It is not possible to transfer bookings made for specific dates to other dates/classes.
